Mr. Handyman Enjoyed Meeting You At The Show!

While it’s been a few weeks I wanted to let everyone know we enjoyed meeting you at the Spring Home & Patio show earlier this month.  Wow, what a crowd.

We look forward to the Spring and Fall shows and getting to meet so many people, but there is always so much more energy at the Spring show as folks are planning their annual ‘to do’ list.  Fall is busy, but Spring in crazy.  In a good way, of course.

Sites like Houzz, Pinterest and Instagram present such great ideas and get people inspired, and then they want help making it happen.  We had folks bring in clippings from magazines and tablet computers with pictures they had book marked.

These are perfect projects for Mr. Handyman.  We love folks that know what they want and who have found their materials, online or locally, but then need help actually doing the project.  They have the vision, but not the skills.  They don’t need a design firm, a showroom, or a computer generated rendering of their project, all of which eventually add to the cost of that project, they simply need skilled craftsmen that can come make their vision a reality.

The other theme we heard over and over again at the show was frustration.  This came from consumers that thought they had contacted a home improvement professional, but they left a message and nobody called them back.  Others had hired somebody, and a project they were told would be a few days of work then took a much longer time given the guy, or company, they hired didn’t return day after day until things were done.
